A. Aguayo, Spanish
Teaching is my passion. Having the opportunity to teach students and watching them excel academically is my dream. When I'm not teaching, I love being with my family, going on hikes and dancing.

A. Alcocer, 4th Grade/STEM
I am very fortunate to teach in the community where I grew up! When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family traveling, especially to our National Parks.

E. Ashleigh, Kindergarten
When I'm not having fun teaching, I love to run, read, dance, paint, and explore outside. One day I hope to illustrate a children's book.

A. Beseda, 4th Grade/STEM
I'm a gardener, camper, fisher and hiker. I'm a little bit of ornery mixed with obsessive, but my family has stuck with me so I guess I've "made growth" (however, I'd like to view it as being very passionate about many things). The scariest and most amazing part of teaching is knowing that each of your students is someone's "whole world". They come to us with different personalities and abilities and the only way to do right by our families is to try to help each one of them improve and become their best version of themselves.

S. Feith, 4th Grade/Humanities

R. Grayhorse, 5th Grade/HumanitiesI am a 4th year teacher with upper elementary and middle school experience. My background is in science but I love teaching everything because everything is connected! I teach my students to take risks, to collaborate and to seek out new experiences. In my free time I love to hang out with my family in Healdsburg and to enjoy the town!

E. Hanson, RSP Teacher

K Heien, 2nd Grade

L. Keith, 3rd Grade/STEM
I am a Sonoma County native who enjoys exploring our beautiful county with friends and family, through activities like disk golf, hiking, kayaking, camping and running. Outside of teaching, my passion lies in exercise, athletics, gardening and traveling. I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to teach here in Healdsburg and help our students grow socially, emotionally and academically everyday!

A. Lyon, 5th Grade

D. McCormick, RSP Teacher
Since moving to Healdsburg from
Ohio in 2011, I enjoy the beautiful surroundings every day and like being active in the community. The things I love most about teaching are challenging my students to do their best, helping to build their confidence, and watching them grow as individuals.

D. Nuñez, 5th Grade/STEM
When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids. My kids keep me busy with their 4-H and FFA projects as well as sports. We love camping, fishing, and riding our ATV's.

J. Perry, 1st Grade
My favorite part about teaching is watching students explore, create, inquire and collaborate. Teaching has given me the opportunity to positively change the lives of my students. When I'm not at school, I am spending time with my family, friends and dog. I enjoy camping, hiking and swimming. I am so fortunate to be able to do what I love!

E. Peterson, Kindergarten
Teaching has always been my passion! I am inspired by Dr. Seuss, I enjoy photography, and I love soaking up some sunshine in the beautiful outdoors!

L. Pillinini, 5th Grade/STEM
When I am not at HES, I enjoy being with my family and my pets. We love to camp, ski, and go out to dinner together. My favorite part of the evening is sitting in the hot tub and listening to my
family's stories.

A. Wagner, 4th Grade/Humanities
I am originally from Washington state.
I moved to Sonoma County in 2008. I love exploring National Parks and Monuments with my daughter. Some

of my hobbies include hiking, traveling, crafting, and trying new things. I enjoy challenging myself and consider myself a life long learner.

S. Mazza, Reading Specialist/InterventionI love helping students become better readers. My passion lies in igniting a love for reading that grows out of exposure, competence, and confidence. The most impactful influence in reading growth is reading more. By filling learning gaps and sharing my enthusiasm for quality children’s literature through my extensive collection, I aim to inspire and motivate my students to become avid readers for life.
